I think a series based on Angie Everhart Trueblood would be popular… there’s a lot of potential in that family. Big Evan is a favorite of mine.

Doug, yes! Baby Angie!

Structurally, the way a book works is based on character development. That means a character has a weakness and a conflict to overcome, and that conflict challenges the character’s weakness, forcing the character to grow stronger. Angie’s weakness is that she’s too powerful and too young to know how to use her power wisely and with precision. That is a YA book, and my YA voice is just enough off that I think it wouldn’t work for readers. If I wait until she’s older, she will have grown through the weaknesses already. So at this point, I don’t see a future for Angie Baby books. I’m not ruling it out, I’m just saying that from a structural and creative standpoint, it is problematic.

Would you ever consider doing a graphic novel of the series both for Jane and for Nell?
Faith
The way that works is for a company to come to me and ask for rights to do a graphic novel and for me to work with the creative artists of that company and come up with a graphic novel. It isn’t something I can do alone. The one company who came to me had bad terms, from a monetary structure standpoint. So I don’t see one in the future.
