The relief efforts of the Go Fund Me is up to $41K. Please read, share this post, and give! Near where I live , just south of Charlotte NC, is a world-wide rug company called Unique. My youngest brother works there, so this is extra important to me and near to my heart. The business is “in my backyard” as they say.

A major portion of their business is just 20 miles from the epicenter of the earthquakes in Turkey. There they work with tribal peoples and people in need to hand knot rugs according to the ancient tribal traditions. They hire people in need. They bring high tech jobs into an area that is not high tech. They work with their own and other charities to feed the locals and to bring in animals to provide food and milk. They provide opportunity. The city has been devastated, but the employees and their families were there, on the ground when the earthquake struck. So far as we know, every single one survived. Now, because their warehouses are destroyed and their business is essentially halted for the foreseeable future, they have turned to helping their neighbors.

They have two large buildings that were recently built and well built and have been deemed habitable. They are taking in survivors. They are and have been actively on the ground working, literally the first on scene. I know the family who own this company. They are the real deal. This is a real boots on the ground relief effort.

I am asking — if you don’t know what to do to help heal the horrors of that area in Turkey, where survivors are freezing to death, are thirsty and hungry, click on the link below and go the Go Fund Me page. Also, please feel free to share this everywhere.
