For those who don’t come here often, Hubs and I invested in a site for our RV. The land was a repossessed trailer park, and had been used as an illegal dump for many years. Like …  twenty years or so. The drive way was so badly eroded that not even a 4 wheel drive ATV could make it up to the top. It was a mess. Rehabilitating the property is a HUGE job and not one we’d have taken on alone! So far, we have found 7 large dump sites, that bone pit I wrote about earlier, multiple levels of trash pits and scattered trash and … well, humans are pretty disgusting.

This past Monday, we were out there and several trailers full of trash were hauled off to the county landfill. (Yes, I see the irony of hauling garbage from one place to another…) When the trash was gone, it was amazing! It left me so happy to see the land freer. Even if the earth didn’t take a big breath, I certainly did.

Oh — What am I Reading?
Devon Monk’s Wayward Moon, (book 2 of the Souls of the Road series) It is soooo good. The writing is like poetry and practically yanks you into her world. AMAZING!

Cheers,

Faith
