In Case YOU Missed It!

NEWS! My editor asked me to write a new short story e-compilation for quick release. HAVE STAKES WILL TRAVEL will be out in early September and will have four stories in it, three of them new. If you follow along on the FaceBook FanPage you had a chance to vote on subject matter for the compilation, and now will get to read several things that so many readers of the Jane Yellowrock series were interested in.
“WeSa” is a short-short (a little over 3 pages) seen from Beast’s eyes, and is about the way Beast takes care of an invader in her territory — a different kind of invader from ones seen previously. :lol:
“Haint” is about a haunted house, and is from Molly Everhart Trueblood’s point of view. It takes place early in her relationship with Jane and shows how they interacted when the friendship was still new. It also gives a short window into how the two women met, which was lots of fun. I always enjoy the opportunity to see Jane through another character’s eyes, and I never fail to learn something new about her!
“Signatures of the Dead” was previously published in STRANGE BREW, the anthology headed up by Charlaine Harris, so many of you will have read it, but for those who didn’t get the chance, now you can.
“Cajun with Fangs” I hope will delight everyone! This story takes place between RAVEN CURSED and DEATH”S RIVAL (out in October 2012). It has all the things you want from a Jane Yellowrock story — fighting, Bitsa, new places, and new people (most not quite human). It is also a setting I may want to go back to in a future book, as I loved the backwater coonasses I got to meet and to introduce to y’all.
Can’t wait? Well, there will be a chance for you to hear me read from one of these stories — or from DEATH’S RIVAL at one of the three book signings!
