New PC and Other Changes

It’s been a rough few weeks here at the Hunter household. First, we got a new roof, which we desperately needed due to the summer storm that left twenty trees down in back. And the trees are still down, but that’s another story. Hubby gets back there with the chainsaw when he is feeling country-boy-manly. We are giving the wood away to anyone who has a truck and can pick it up, and so far about 10 truck-loads have been hauled away. And I guess we have about 20 more to be hauled. Sigh…

Next – I had to buy a new car. And let me tell you – I LOVE my car. I got a used Ford Escape because the hubby buys nothing new, dontcha know! It’s a peaceful green, like my writing room, with leather seats. Lovely car!

Perhaps most importantly among the changes to my life–I had to buy a new PC. Yes, I was watching the screen on Thursday Oct. 20, when a cascading series of failures took it down. I bought a new PC, paid for the plug-and-play and have been learning a new writing program ever since. It is not easy. NOT! But I am getting there. And I got extension form my editor so that helped immensely.

 And last, and the website is fixed! Kudos to the webmaster!!!
That’s all the major changes in my life in the last month, and with the website fixed I’ll be here more often with news and tidbits.
