Faith Hunter Relaxes, Raven Cursed & News!

Where do I relax? On a river, of course!  Hubby and I spent yesterday on the Upper Pigeon River in Eastern Tenn., with Dave at this place: Rapid Expeditions  researching for Raven Cursed! (If you like mountains, and fast moving water, be sure to like and share Rapid Expeditions’ FB page with your pals!)

And yes, I am well into rewrites of Jane Yellowrock # 4. My editor (who must be psychic to see all the plot holes and weaknesses in a manuscript) made fantastic suggestions and I am deep into the revisions and rewrites. Raven Cursed is even going to have an entire new first chapter by the time I am done. Though I usually start a book in the middle of the action, Wonder-Editor said it started too deeply into the book this time. Now that I’ve spent some time away from the manuscript, I had to agree. When I read it again, it was like being thunked on the head by the obvious.

Now all sorts of possibilities are dancing around in my brain, hoping to be used as the opening. Beast is making a play for being on page one, but Jane is holding her down.  8-)

Last bit of news is the merchandising aspect of being a writer. I wanted to do something radically different, something that said Jane Yellowrock right off the bat. So I hired an artist/designer who works in leather to create some stuff. And I am IN LOVE with his ideas! In fact, I love it so much, I’ve set him to working on some Thorn St. Croix /Enclave stuff!

This guy is a genius! Wait till you see. More later!
