Teaser: Jane Yellowrock, Book 5

I have been coming up with titles all month, and I am still not satisfied. Sigh.
But I can offer a teaser from it! A shorter version appeared on the FaceBook Fan Page yesterday at https://www.facebook.com/official.faith.hunter
Teaser, Book 5, Jane Yellowrock:
Bruiser lay on his back, spread-eagled, his skin death-pale and marbled blue, the veins appearing like waterways on a map. He was wearing socks. That’s all. Socks. The black vamp half-sitting, half-curled on top of his hips was wearing a wildly-pattered, full-circle skirt in shades of indigo, with a matching turban-thingy on her head. No shirt.
My eyes narrowed. Her fangs were buried in his throat–one of the vamp priestesses deep in a healing. All by itself, my back hunched up and tears filled my eyes. Even though I knew what was happening, I still felt a spear of jealously lance through me. Deep inside, Beast whispered, Mine! And wanted to growl.
As soundless as possible, I moved on down the hallway, boots in the deep butter-colored carpet. But frankly, if a herd of moose had charged through the house, I doubted the priestess would have noticed, the healing vamp-trance was so deep. And Bruiser? Well, he was dead to the world. And I had no idea if Leo’s primo would make it.
I loved this scene! That’s all today!
