I am making good headway on the fourth Jane Yellowrock novel and hope to be finished with the rough draft by the end of November. (Fingers crossed)

I took a 2 hour break and went to the nearest river for a slow paddle-float in the long boats (12 foot, flat water boats). It was great! The ahingas (a type of cormant) were sunning with wings outspread, fishing, and lazing. The Great Gray Herons were back to solitary living, their young fully fledged, the kingfishers were  noisy and vibrant, and the ospreys were too busy enjoying the weather to hunt. I also saw a *huge* school of very large bass in about 3 feet of water.  I’ve never seen so many in one place before! Here”s a couple of pics of my break!
