Weekly Update

Weekly??? (you say) You–oh evil author–are supposed to blog here daily!

Um…yeah. I am. But, in the interest of staying viable in the marketplace (as in not totally burned out) and still trying to keep in daily contact with fans & friends, I’ve turned to Facebook. I’ve discovered that I can update fans & friends several times a day on writing progress, editor comments, and plans, rather than one long blog each day. Facebook is sooo much easier and faster.  So…while I’ll be blogging here once or twice a week, and more often when I have something interesting to share, most everything will appear first on FB. 

Of course, that said, I have a long and rambling blog planned for today!

First — the webmaster/webguru/webwarrior has slain the reply-button problem! Whoowhoo for Mike! I can now reply to comments with one button instead of roaming back and forth on various pages trying to find something that works. Whew! What a relief!

Second – this week, I’ve been hard at work on the retaining walls for the front yard. Below is a *before* pic so you can see what I’m starting out with, and when I get done (in couple weeks) I’ll post an *after* pic.    

Third – the hubby and I paddled the Pacolet River with the Catawba Cruisers this week, and it was wonderful! We had a great time, saw kingfishers and herons and lots of geese. One was actually paddling upstream, gauging the rapids and paddling up little eddies. It was amazing to watch! We kayakers played on the Class I+ and IIs and then got a real workout getting to the boat takeout. We had to paddle upstream in a fast creek a quarter mile. O.M.Gosh, I was so tired! But it was wonderful and I’m not too sore.

And last — the pollen is gone! Yippee!
