Satisfaction

This has been a very positive and productive week so far, full of professional satisfaction. I’ll share the writing work part first, then the fun part. Not that my writing work isn’t fun…. It is! But it’s still work, you know?

I finished a pal’s line edit and rewrite letter, which took about 2 weeks. Today I will answer the pending queries from the editors on the Rogue Mage rpg (Role Playing  Game). Then, tomorrow I’ll start on two proposals: one for my AKA’s thriller self, to be written by a co-writer and me, to be published (if it sells to a pub) under the name G. Hunter Paxton, and one for the next Jane Yellowrock book. Each will take about 3 or 4 days, which puts finishing them into the end of next week.

Now the fun stuff!

Late today I will be packing the RV for the trip to Columbia SC. The dogs love to travel, and they will start getting excited as I make trip after trip to the RV. And when the housesitter shows up, Tommy and Tuffy will be torn between taking a trip and jumping all over Matt!

Where am I going? I will be at the South Carolina Book Festival. Yeah, I know, you long-time readers know all about it. But for the newbies … I’ll be sitting at the BellaRosaBooks booth, signing books and visiting with fans. I am not on any panels, or speaking at all, so all my time is for the fans. And I have lots of giveaways for fans who drop by to visit.

Speaking of giveaways, I’ve been making jewelry for the first few fans who show up. Now that is fun! I feel so creative when I make jewelry! The Jane Yellowrock inspired jewelry is arrowhead pendants (just like Jane will wear in Mercy Blade) or earrings. Yeah, I know Jane can’t wear earrings, but if she could, they would be just like these, complementing, but mismatched earrings, an arrowhead for the left ear, and a dangle for the right, to indicate her two souls, one beastly and primitive, and the other a modern woman.

You can see some examples of the earrings in the pics of the signing  at Book Rack back in January. Well, that’s all for now!

Hugs, Y’all!
Faith

About The Author

Faith
A native of Louisiana, Faith spent her early years on the bayou and rivers, learning survival skills and the womanly arts. She liked horses, dogs, fishing and crabbing much better than girly skills. Still does. A love of history and ancient writings excite her even more, perhaps because she can trace her own family tree back to William the Conqueror's invasion of England in 1066, later to Sehoy III, an American Indian princess, and to the gens de couleur libre, the free men of color in New Orleans at the time of the War Between the States. As a girl, she fell in love with fantasy and sifi, reading five books a week, and wishing she, "could write that great stuff." Teachers in high school convinced her she could, and she's been writing ever since, with a desire to see ultimate good fight and defeat ultimate evil, and humans as part of the battle. Faith now shares her life with her Renaissance Man (Ren) and their dogs.
