Faith Hunter

Author of the Jane Yellowrock Series

OMGosh! It is Thursday and I have not posted all week! Someone get out the whips and chains! I am nearly done with Mercy Blade, and I am loving it — though it is the most complicated plot I have ever written. Sooo much going on!

On Tuesday, Tommy had more teeth pulled because the gingivitis was so bad his few remaining teeth were getting infected. Hehad stopped eating even the soft food we tried to tempt him with. And he would go find a safe place to hide under, as if instinct was driving him to self-protect from predators who would scent his sickness and weakness. (I think he heard about poor Dinkums and fox…)

He now has only his canines left, poor baby. But he already feel better and is scarfing down his soft food, then raiding Tuffy’s bowl for a hard nugget to gum on for a while.

We have a contest going on, with teh winner to receive a free Blood Cross! Fan and writer Tyhitia (waves to Tyhitia!) is hosting the contest here:

And for those of you who are finished with Blood Cross and want another little taste with spoilers… go to my writer’s blog at MagicalWords.Net and read my post yesterday… Yep. I put the first 2 paragraphs of Mercy Blade up…

And…Oh Yeah! I am in the middle of writing an interview for BittenByBooks.Com to be posted on the 28th of Jan 2010, with an all day Q&A to follow. With some *great* prizes! Yep! goood prizes!

Hugs,
Faith

About The Author

Faith
A native of Louisiana, Faith spent her early years on the bayou and rivers, learning survival skills and the womanly arts. She liked horses, dogs, fishing and crabbing much better than girly skills. Still does. A love of history and ancient writings excite her even more, perhaps because she can trace her own family tree back to William the Conqueror's invasion of England in 1066, later to Sehoy III, an American Indian princess, and to the gens de couleur libre, the free men of color in New Orleans at the time of the War Between the States. As a girl, she fell in love with fantasy and sifi, reading five books a week, and wishing she, "could write that great stuff." Teachers in high school convinced her she could, and she's been writing ever since, with a desire to see ultimate good fight and defeat ultimate evil, and humans as part of the battle. Faith now shares her life with her Renaissance Man (Ren) and their dogs.
