The Pack

I have the very best fans/friends in the world! You are patient and kind and give me the gift of your good wishes, good vibes, and prayers in times of trouble. Thank you so very much!

Okay. Where am I in life…?

I am finally winding down from last week’s stress. My neph Matthew is home from the hospital (as per my last post) and he is struggling with the docs orders to *do nothing* for a week and then *slowly* start to build up activity. His weakened heart muscle will need time to regrow. Had someone my age been so attacked by a virus, it would be time to retire. The heart can’t regrow after a certain age. (Come on stem cell research!)

I have done nothing for Christmas and will not decorate this year. Being with my family and my pack is much more important than tinsel and lights.

By day I am making jewelry for close friends and family, and jewelry for giveaways at signings, and nesting in my little house. A lot of rooms need a coat of paint and some fluffing. (Fluffing is my decorator mom’s term for totally rearranging everything.) I’ll do some of that over the season.

Oh! And I am writing! Yeah. I am doing that too. Jane Yellowrock is in soo much trouble at page 222 of Mercy Blade, book 3. Confused and feeling that the investigation is going nowhere fast, and her love life is exploding…

By evening, the hubby and the dogs and I curl up on the two-seater recliner and watch TV. The dogs perk up when the show has barking dogs on it, so technically means they watch, right?

I will eventually get the contest winners pics posted and their gifts/winnings mailed. And I am so very thankful for your forbearance.

Hugs, everyone. I’ll be better about posting here!

  1. Glad you’re back, Faith. :-D Take your time and have a Merry Christmas. :-D

  2. Sounds like the proper way to ‘recharge’. I just wanted to tell you that I am currently recharging by reading Bloodring. The Muddy Paws Pack does NOT thank you. I prefer to read with two hands holding the book. Or at least one hand holding, one hand turning pages. Three noses poking does not make for happy reader. It might be part of a Xmas song, though.

Thank you, from someone who feels like she struck gold finding several series and authors she really enjoys this year.

  3. Totally awesome moments in life come with a price for all of us, you have found out the true meaning of Christmas this past few weeks and it is all about family love and friendships. I think that more of us could benefit from that lesson, especially those people who seem to think that the more you buy for your family and friends the more you love them. Tis not so, you love them more when you give them a handmade gift or your time and you are doing both. I am like all your other fans so happy to hear about Matthew recuperating well, know how hard it has to be at his young age to “take it slow”….
Glad you have decided to give yourself a break with all the Christmas trappings and concentrate on the important stuff your furbabies, your family, your friends and also yourself…
Happy Holidays to you a very Merry Undecorated Christmas and hope a very much safe and Happier New Year!!

    Hugs and warm wishes always,

    Jackie
