Brain Dead

I am bleary eyed with exhaustion this morning. I guess my sleep cycles are off, as I slept only about 90 minutes last night and then woke up like I’d been shot from a cannon. It doesn’t happen often but when it does it really messes with my head. There is no reason to stay in bed because my mind won’t turn off. I usually get up, write awhile and then go back to sleep after sunup. Not today, because I’m off to the Lower Green River with my hubby and brother. I will spend the day paddling that easy-peasey river, relaxing, watching the pilliated (spelling?) woodpeckers and hawks and falcons, all of which will have nearly grown chicks and will be actively (dare I say desperately?) feeding them. Summer is here and it will be warm and lazy and wonderful.

Hope your day is as lovely as mine is looking to be. Hmmm. Hope I didn’t jinx it with my planning.
