on the road, then the water

Today was loooooong. *Hours* on the roads, all of them, well, most of them, horrible, bumpy, and once out of Ohio, freaking crowded. (Ohio was empty. Weird. With all the industry sent overseas, I guess no one has a job? Hey, DC. Get your kiester in gear!) Anyway, hours and hours on the road, no stops, no rest except to let the dog go out. Just so we could take the Lower Pigeon River at Hartford, Tenn.

We went in at Dave Crawford’s place, Rapid Expeditions, and the water was huge. *Huge!* Okay, it was 2,000 cubic feet per second. But to me that is *huge*! And frankly the Lower was all I wanted at that level. Mike (AKA Jedi Mike from my AKA’s novel Rapid Descent) picked us up at the take out.

I am wasted. It was fab!

Hugs,
Faith
